Snow

Sunlight filtered through emerald leaves and dappled the mossy carpet in warmth. Tendrils of light escaped the thick canopy above and reached through the water shining with crystalline fire. The water was refreshingly cool as it caressed my feet, its constant babble calming me. The brook chattered to itself as it twisted its way through the forest floor, serpentine and slender like a ribbon tossed upon the ground. Its infinite music echoed through finite slender trees, with branches that stretched into the heavens. Through the thick multi-coloured leaves bits of azure sky could be spotted, watching every movement on the ground below. A delicate breeze danced with fallen these leaves, seducing them with stories of flight, begging them to come. Some golden leaves gave in and drifted with the breeze until being gently deposited in the water. Fishes and frogs made this stream their home, while birds and four-legged creatures depended upon it for their life.
